Survey of Personnel Managers in the Western Balkans: Bosnia and Herzegovina, EN language

This report presents the results of a survey conducted among personnel managers in Bosnia and Herzegovina as part of two ReSPA projects aimed at Improving Merit Recruitment and Performance Appraisals in the Western Balkans. Commissioned by the ReSPA Working Group on Human Resources Management, the focus was on the practice of human resources management in their institutions. Consisting of approximately 80 questions, survey aimed to identify differences in management practices within countries, acknowledging that experiences with recruitment and appraisals can vary across institutions. Conducted between September and November 2018, the cooperation rate was 39 % in Bosnia and Herzegovina.The report is divided into three parts. The first part presents the results of personnel managers? experience with the recruitment of civil servants in their institution. The second part provides open text comments on how to improve recruitment and how to develop Personnel Departments across public administration. The third part is kept in local languages to facilitate the use by local partners.
