The program is structured around three primary components aimed at enhancing local governance and improving public services. First, it focuses on strengthening the capacity of local self-government units (LSGs) to apply good governance principles, resulting in more inclusive public services and a higher quality of life for citizens. Second, it enhances the capacity of LSGs and local actors to develop and implement social inclusion and protection policies, better addressing the needs of vulnerable groups. Third, the program builds LSG capacity for effective environmental governance, improving processes regulating local environmental protection. Overall, the program aims to drive systemic changes by integrating good governance principles, enhancing e-services, promoting social inclusion, and advancing environmental protection at the local level.

The Program PRO - Local Governance for People and Nature contributes to the improvement of the quality of life of citizens through the improvement of local management, social inclusion, and environmental protection in 110 cities and municipalities across Serbia that can apply for the Program support.
