Short summary | The RELOF3 project aims to strengthen the capacity of local administrations, public companies, and indirect budget beneficiaries in Serbia, focusing on improving public finance management. The project is structured around four key components: enhancing managerial accuntability and performance management, improving lines of responsibility and control, introducing innovative public finance management practices, and supporting development and research. It also emphasizes inter-municipal cooperation, knowledge exchange, and policy dialogue to advance systemic public finance reforms. The ultimate goal is to support Serbia in meeting EU accession requirements under Chapter 32, particularly in internal financial control, as well as developing and testing implementaion of managerial accountability within the LG system. The project aligns with Serbia's strategic documents and receives substantial support from Switzerland. |
Objectives | The project provides technical support to local self-governments in applying the principles of good management, managerial accountability and strengthening lines of responsibility within the local self-government system. |
